Colour Tablets 3 – Shades are intended for children who have already mastered working with Colour Tablets 2 – the extended set. The child learns to recognise subtle differences between shades of the same colour, create continuous colour gradations and use the terms light, dark, lighter, darker, lightest and darkest.
The tablets have wooden frames on the sides, making them comfortable and precise to grip. The material supports independent work as well as cooperation in pairs or groups. Visual control of error is based on the harmony or disharmony of the assembled colour gradation.
At the beginning, you can offer the child just three strongly contrasting shades and gradually increase their number. A neutral surface, such as a mat, is recommended for the activity.
