A textile bag with a drawstring allows the child to reach inside and recognize objects using touch only. It also serves for practical storage of the contents.
Includes small objects suitable for sensory education and Montessori-inspired activities that support concentration and natural discovery.
The small size and soft bag make it a practical aid at home and away – the child can practice tactile discrimination anytime.
The goal of sensory education is to give the child the opportunity to obtain clear and conscious information from the environment through their senses – and thus enable them to understand their surroundings and the world more deeply and accurately. Maria Montessori believed that a child perceives with all of their senses from birth. Through their senses, the child becomes familiar with their surroundings, studies them, and thanks to this knowledge begins to understand them as well. The child is thus a kind of “sensory explorer”.
Children do not learn by us telling them something, but through their own experiences – by being able to “feel” things. Children are most open to developing their senses from 2 to 6 years. In this period it is very important to give them as many opportunities as possible to develop all of their senses.
